MULTILINGUAL WEBSITES

A site that speaks each customer's own language

This is what we do most: all four projects in our portfolio run in at least two languages, and one of them in four.

The language switcher is the smallest part of the job

Most sites "with a switcher" quietly break their own search visibility: every language lives at one address, Google sees a single page mixing two languages, and shows neither. Done properly, each language has its own URL, its own meta tags, and hreflang markup telling the search engine which version belongs to which country.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

What's included

A separate address per language instead of switching in place

hreflang markup so Google serves the right version to the right country

Localised meta tags and Open Graph per language

The language choice remembered between visits

Language detection from browser settings on the first visit

Fonts with full Cyrillic and diacritic support

A multilingual sitemap with cross-referenced alternates

A pass to confirm no page was left untranslated

HOW THE WORK RUNS

A transparent process with no surprises halfway through

  1. 01

    Languages

We decide which languages you need and which one leads for search.

  2. 02

    Architecture

We design the URLs so each language is a separate page to Google.

  3. 03

    Content

We prepare the copy in each language — not machine translation.

  4. 04

    Build

We implement the switcher, hreflang, localised meta and sitemap.

  5. 05

    Review

We walk every language page by page and hunt for gaps.

WHY THIS WAY

Why we're good at this

It's our specialism

Four of four portfolio projects are multilingual — Czech, Ukrainian, English, Russian. This isn't a one-off.

Copy is written, not translated

Machine translation shows in the first sentence and puts off exactly the local customer you wanted. We prepare copy per language.

The technical base is right

hreflang, separate URLs and localised meta — without these, going multilingual hurts your search visibility instead of helping it.

A language can be added later

The structure is built so a fifth language means adding a dictionary, not rebuilding the site.

FAQ

The questions we get asked most

The technical part is a small extension, because the structure allows for it from the start. The real cost is preparing the copy. We quote exactly once we know the page count.

Do your customers speak different languages?

Tell us which languages and which countries — we'll show you how to structure the site so every version works in search.
